Meet Chris Wayne, general manager of the Olive Garden in Anderson, SC. 

As a boy growing up in Greenville, SC, Chris didn’t know his career path would take him to Darden or Olive Garden. That is, until one day when he was hired as a busser at age 14 at a hamburger restaurant in his hometown. He believes some people are born to be athletes and he was born to have a career serving food, his guests and his team. “We couldn’t get to where we are as general managers without a strong team behind us,” Chris said. 

Developing those connections with people is what Chris thinks is key to his career, much like the dedication he shows every guest who walks in the door.  Watch Chris telling his story here.
