Discovery Impact: Creating Change
Discovery Impact: Creating Change is Discovery Communications’ pro-bono creative initiative, utilizing the power of our employee workforce to fulfill design, marketing and communications work on behalf of local nonprofit organizations.
During this 12-hour marathon, Discovery employees fulfill work that includes but is not limited to: social media training, event concepting, promotional materials, websites, pamphlets, logos, PSAs, press kits and mission statements. Started in 2010, the inagural Creating Change featured 200 Discovery employees donating nearly 3,000 hours of work to fulfill creative requests from selected organizations. Additionally, Discovery executives offered expert workshops to all of the applicants which covered Social Media, Events and PR.
