An invisible ceiling exists in many corporate environments, creating a barrier between women and high-level positions that tend to be dominated by males in leadership roles. Women have been shattering this boundary for years and, as society has evolved, the strength and role of the glass ceiling may be changing.

Novartis Receives FDA Approval for Egaten® for the Treatment of Fascioliasis, a Neglected Tropical Disease

Novartis announced today that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Egaten® (triclabendazole) for the treatment of fascioliasis in patients six years of age and older. This makes Egaten the only FDA-approved drug for people with this disease and is expected to facilitate broader access to this important drug not only in the US, but also in affected countries worldwide.

JetBlue Foundation E-Newsletter: A Glance at 2018

On November 8th, the JetBlue Foundation awarded $135,000 in grants to STEM education programs in Puerto Rico to aid long-term post-hurricane recovery in celebration of National STEM Day. The JetBlue Foundation, in its continued commitment to Puerto Rico, awarded grants to organizations that are investing in the island’s future and placing aviation and STEM top-of-mind as career choices for students. JetBlue started service 16 years ago, and is the largest carrier on the island with San Juan being one of JetBlue’s six Focus Cities.

The grant recipients included Ciencia Puerto Rico, EcoExploratorio, Inter American University of Puerto Rico and Puerto Rico Aviation Maintenance Institute.
