Global Impact Board of Directors Welcomes New Charities for Broader Reach, Greater Impact

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Alexandria, VA – January 25, 2012 – Global Impact, whose mission is to assure help for the world’s most vulnerable people, announced today the certification of 64 charities through its rigorous approval process. Global Impact raises funds to meet critical humanitarian needs around the world.   Global Impact offers its charity partners access to new donors and new sources of revenue through innovative partner solutions and employee giving programs. As a member of the Global Impact alliance, charities benefit from the collective strength of a network of like-minded organizations. Membership standards ensure that each charity practices sound financial management and effective program delivery to address the world’s most pressing problems.   The updated roster includes the new alliance members American Leprosy Missions (ALM) and International Executive Service Corps (IESC). ALM is a 106-year-old global organization dedicated to healing people around the world with leprosy and disabilities. IESC assigns U.S. volunteer experts to assist businesses in developing countries and emerging markets worldwide.   “Global Impact strengthens our partnerships and alliances by working with charities that align with our mission to deliver sustainable results to distressed populations within our global community,” said Renée S. Acosta, President, Global Impact. “Each funded charity represents untapped potential for broader collaboration to deliver results to help more people in need.”   In addition, Global Impact supports charity partners with participation in the Combined Federal Campaigns. Among the charities that partnered with Global Impact for up to 58 years are five newly funded, including Himalayan Cataract Project, International Partnership for Microbicides, Landesa, NetHope and SightLife.   Global Impact’s practices result in a series of awards and recognition, including a Charity Navigator Four-Star Rating for exceptional fiscal management for the sixth consecutive year, a distinction achieved by only five percent of rated charities, and Seal Holder status from the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance for the sixth consecutive year for meeting each of the 20 standards for charity accountability.     About Global Impact
