Global Impact Appoints Scott Jackson as President and CEO
Alexandria, VA., May 6, 2013 /3BL Media/ - Global Impact is proud to announce Scott Jackson has been named the organization’s President and Chief Executive Officer effective May 1, 2013. A global development, fundraising and marketing veteran with more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Jackson overseas Global Impact’s organizational policy, fundraising programs, management and administration.
“Scott is a recognized expert in international development and fundraising. He understands the work we do and he knows where we need to go as an organization,” said Global Impact Board of Directors Chairman Steve Polo. “With Scott’s passion, knowledge and network of contacts, we are privileged to have him lead us into the future.”
In his role as President and CEO, Mr. Jackson holds direct responsibility for leading the organization’s advisory services, fundraising campaigns, workplace giving, partnerships and strategic alliances. Mr. Jackson also provides leadership, direction and oversight for all aspects of the Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas and manages relationships with key stakeholders.
Before joining Global Impact, Mr. Jackson served as Vice President for External Relations at PATH. While there, his strategic responsibilities included developing and strengthening relationships with partners and donors, while maximizing the visibility of PATH’s work.
Previously, Mr. Jackson was Senior Vice President at World Vision US where he directed external relations, key partnerships, community relations and strategic initiatives. He managed a fundraising portfolio of more than $60 million. He served as President and Managing Director of APCO Seattle, a worldwide public affairs and strategic communications consulting firm, and founded TRADEC (Trade and Development Consortium), one of the first marketing and communications firms in North America to specialize in international trade promotion, technology transfer and market access.
Mr. Jackson joined Global Impact as CEO in October 2011. He succeeds Renée S. Acosta as President and CEO. Ms. Acosta retired in April after more than 20 years with the organization.
