Merck Named as a "Best for Vets" Employer by Military Times for Fifth Consecutive Year
Merck has been recognized by Military Times as a 2019 “Best for Vets” employer for the fifth consecutive year. In its tenth year, the Best for Vets: Employers rankings evaluate companies’ culture, veteran recruiting, veteran policies, and accommodations for members of the National Guard and reserves. This year, a total of 132 employers made the list, comprising 113 for-profit companies, as well as 19 government and non-profit organizations.

Merck has been named a 2019 best place to work for LGBTQ equality by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. This marks the seventh year in a row that the company received 100% on HRC's Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking tool which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including domestic partner benefits, surrogacy, parental leave and adoption benefits.
