Merck Named One of the Best Companies for Multicultural Women by Working Mother
Merck has been named one of the 2019 Best Companies for Multicultural Women by Working Mother magazine. This list recognizes U.S. companies that create and use best practices in hiring, retaining, and promoting multicultural women. The winners will be featured in the June/July issue of Working Mother and at workingmother.com.
“We believe that having a diverse workforce — including all dimensions of diversity — is fundamental to our company’s success,” said Celeste Warren, vice president of Human Resources and chief diversity officer, Merck. “A diverse workforce deepens our perspective and inspires the next great idea or invention that can lead to better health.”
The Working Mother Research Institute has conducted the initiative since 2003, tracking corporations’ progress in creating cultures that encourage multicultural women to join and rise through the ranks.
