Merck Named on 2019 Best Places to Work List for LGBTQ Equality by Human Rights Campaign Foundation
Company earned a 100% score on the Workplace Equality Scorecard for the seventh year in a row
Merck has been named a 2019 best place to work for LGBTQ equality by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation. This marks the seventh year in a row that the company received 100% on HRC's Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking tool which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including domestic partner benefits, surrogacy, parental leave and adoption benefits.
"We are honored to receive the best place to work designation from HRC," said Celeste Warren, vice president of human resources and global diversity and inclusion center of excellence. "At our core, we believe that having a diverse workforce – including all dimensions of diversity – is fundamental to our success. When we can bring our whole selves to work and feel valued, we will do our best work."
