Putting the Wheels in Motion This Holiday Season

Just in time for the holidays, more than 18 Maryland families recently were awarded an early Christmas gift. Each family was given the opportunity to purchase a badly needed car through the work of Vehicles For Change (VFC). The program awards vehicles to qualified low-income families with guaranteed low-interest loans, allowing them to build credit while completing the car ownership process.

During Renovations, the Venetian and the Palazzo Use Sustainable Wall System

During the renovation at The Palazzo casino and other parts of the property, the properties Sustainability team learned of an innovative product called Envy Walls, a temporary wall that is made of 100% recyclable and reusable materials. The manufacturing company states that every 700 square feet of Envy Wall reduces one ton of landfill debris compared to conventional framing, metal studs, and dry wall.

New Hampshire Businesses Call for Strong Clean Energy Policies to Help the State Thrive

As the legislature gears up for the 2018 session, over 50 New Hampshire businesses united in calling for the Legislature to support economic growth and business development through advancing clean energy policies. Dartmouth Hitchcock, Hannaford Supermarkets, Hypertherm, Velcro Companies, Timberland and Worthen Industries are among the businesses that signed on to a series of “Clean Energy Principles.”

De Beers Group Provides a Solution for a School's Crowded Classrooms

The mine sent in a lowbed truck and crane and partnered with local contractors to transport unused mobile classrooms from Alldays High School to the nearby Alldays Primary School in Limpopo Province, saving the school R150,000, which is what it would otherwise have cost to move them.

Sam Huston is Chief of Party for Tetra Tech’s U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Water Supply, Sanitation, and Hygiene Financing (WASH-FIN) project, which focuses on closing financing gaps to achieve universal access to water and sanitation services. Sam has 15 years of experience working in the WASH sector, with expertise in infrastructure financing, utility reform, and water-related conflict issues in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, and the United States.

Tetra Tech Helps Provide a Solar-powered Water Supply System

Tetra Tech has been a longtime supporter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB), helping communities around the world meet their basic human needs. Tetra Tech partnered with the EWB Boston Professional Chapter to help bring clean, reliable water to the 4,000 residents of Mapinduzi, Tanzania. Tetra Tech supported the project through its 2016 Charity of the Year employee giving campaign, which raised funds for system installation in 2017.
