At the BSR Conference 2017, a panel of BSR alumni, including Amazon's Kara Hurst; Levi Strauss & Co.'s Michael Kobori; and Alliance of Green Consumption and Green Supply Chain, China, and The Sustainability Consortium's Wei Dong Zhou discussed the evolution of sustainable business over the past 25 years.

Prof. Charles Ng Conferred CLP Holdings Professorship in Sustainability

Geotechnical engineering expert Charles Ng of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has been named CLP Holdings Professor of Sustainability.

The endowed professorship in sustainability is the first of its kind at a Hong Kong university. It will focus on climate change and sustainable energy, which are not only important to CLP but also of significance globally.

11 GM Sites Achieve Conservation Certification

As General Motors continues scaling its efforts to restore, protect and promote biodiversity, 11 more sites have earned Conservation Certification from the Wildlife Habitat Council. The company is using its land, resources and partnerships to help address pressing global biodiversity issues.

H&M Wants Your Help to Keep America Beautiful

This year, H&M is proud to announce that the Garment Collecting initiative will have a new partner in the United States with Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s iconic community improvement nonprofit organization. To kick off this new partnership, H&M is urging customers and fans to participate in America Recycles Day by donating unwanted textiles from any brand in any condition to any H&M in the U.S. From Nov. 9-15, people who donate to the program will receive double vouchers for 15% off their next purchase.

The UPS Foundation To Award $2.6 Million In Environmental Grants

The UPS Foundation announced that it will award more than $2.6 million in grants to nonprofit organizations focused on environmental initiatives that align with UPS's new sustainability goals. Organizations include The World Resources Institute, The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, and others.

New Report Finds Increased Investment in Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Far Outweigh Costs

As automakers continue to bring new electric vehicles to the marketplace, electric utilities are grappling with the challenge of deploying adequate electric vehicle charging infrastructure to ensure that vehicles can be charged reliably. A new analysis released today by the sustainability nonprofit organization Ceres and M.J. Bradley & Associates finds that the benefits of increased investment in electric vehicle charging infrastructure outweigh the costs by more than 3 to 1.
