Eat Your Coffee, Sustainable Snacks and 9 Miles East Farm will participate in an in-depth business mentorship program with JetBlue, learning what it takes to get their brands off the ground. BlueBud offers innovative and budding food and beverage brands a unique opportunity including access to JetBlue’s leaders and an inside look at the airline’s distinctive product development culture and award-winning onboard experience. The BlueBud program launched in 2015 and originally focused on up-and-coming environmentally and socially responsible food brands based in New York. JetBlue has expanded the program to include small businesses in the greater Boston area.

LG received the highest-level recognition in the EPA’s Sustainable Materials Management (SMM) Electronics Challenge. Highlighting the company’s dedication to environmental sustainability at CES® 2019, William Cho, president and CEO, LG Electronics North America, applauded the EPA SMM Electronics Challenge program, which encourages responsible recycling. “By using third-party certified recyclers, we’re proud to help drive the use of environmentally protective practices,” he said.
Between the elementary and high schools of Rockingham County is Mohawk Group’s latest smartflower installation. Throughout the day, students can watch the 194 square-foot ground-mounted structure's solar paneled petals open and turn in the direction of the sun. It’s the second of 10 smartflowers to be installed over the next three years in collaboration with Groundswell, a nonprofit dedicated to developing community solar projects. The effort serves a multi-faceted purpose: save energy, empower underserved communities and raise awareness around sustainability. It also helped two of Mohawk’s floor coverings — Pivot Point resilient tile and Sunweave broadloom carpet — achieve Living Product Challenge Petal certifications.
