Four student teams from around the world are regional winners in Otis’ Made to Move Communities student challenge. These winning teams will go on to compete in Otis’ first global competition.
A global oil and gas company required final decommissioning at a former terminal and blending facility that had been idle for almost a decade. The 3-acre site, located in Durban, South Africa, required the removal of all above and below ground structures, underground utilities, process equipment, buildings, concrete slabs and foundations.
The objective of the project was to demolish the structures to safety requirements agreed upon by the province, port authority and client, so that the client could completely exit the site.
Astellas USA Foundation has named Moyra Knight as president, transitioning from Jeffrey A. Winton, outgoing Astellas USA Foundation president. Winton led the Foundation since 2014. Knight has served as an Astellas USA Foundation advisory committee member since 2014.
It may come as a surprise, but we go batty over bats at our Auburn Hills Complex – and it’s not just during Halloween. Scattered across the grounds are 10 bat houses with each having the potential to shelter 100 - 300 bats and their young that need nurturing. Over the past three years, FCA US has supported bat conservation efforts across our 504-acre wetlands site that sits roughly 30 miles north of Detroit. Our employees build or donate bat houses and install them in ideal bat habitat areas.
