WWF Creates First eBook: WWF Explore!
Washington, DC, May 4, 2015 /3BL Media/ – World Wildlife Fund today launched a new eBook app for iPad users called WWF Explore!.
An interactive story of exotic places and endangered animals, WWF Explore! combines exciting animation and entertaining stories to highlight the places, species and people WWF works to protect. The stories in the eBook follow a group of four students and their teacher as they journey to five of the world’s most ecologically diverse regions – the savannahs and forests of Africa, the jungles of the Amazon, the sea ice of the Arctic, the forests of China and the high mountains of the Himalayas – with interactive scenes that bring each spot’s biodiversity to life.
“We wanted to bridge great storytelling with nature’s wonders to inspire families about the importance of conservation,” said WWF’s website and mobile apps director Diane Quigley.
Each story in the eBook is accompanied by beautiful imagery (both hand drawn and photographed) and text with complementary audio.
The eBook was built by Grab.com for WWF and is available now in the Apple app store for iPad users. It will be available on Android platforms later this spring.
