SCS Global Services Approves VITO to Conduct VOC Emissions Testing for its Indoor Air Quality Certifications
EMERYVILLE, Calif. and MOL, Belgium, May 22, 2017 /3BL Media/– SCS Global Services (SCS), a trusted international leader in third-party environmental and sustainability certification, has partnered with VITO, a premier independent research and technology organisation based in Mol, Belgium, to provide volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions testing for the SCS Indoor Advantage™, SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold, and FloorScore® certification programs. The VITO Product Emission Competence Centre will conduct the analyses in conformance with the requirements of green building, institutional, and furniture industry-recognised sustainability and environmental claims standards, such as CA Specification 01350 and ANSI/BIFMA M1.1 and X7.1
Before affirming the partnership, SCS verified that VITO is ISO 17025 accredited and meets stringent quality management system guidelines. The VITO Product Emission Competence Centre focuses on specifying, developing and delivering high-quality laboratory and analytical services to product manufacturers, building and environmental consultants, and IAQ specialists. VITO offers a wide range of VOC emission testing services to support manufacturers in creating safe, healthy and sustainable products.
