SCS Global Services Approves eco-INSTITUT as Testing Partner for VOC Emissions

EMERYVILLE, Calif., and COLOGNE, Germany, May 2, 2016 /3BL Media/ - SCS Global Services (SCS), a trusted leader in third-party environmental and sustainability certification, has partnered with eco-INSTITUT, a leading provider of product emissions and chemical testing based in Cologne, Germany. eco-INSTITUT will conduct volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions testing for the SCS Indoor Advantage™, SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold, and FloorScore® certification programs in conformance with industry-recognized sustainability and environmental claims standards, such as CA Specification 01350 and ANSI/BIFMA M1.1 and X7.1 

As a condition of the partnership, SCS verified that eco-INSTITUT is ISO 17025 accredited and meets stringent quality management system guidelines. The lab’s expert team uses state-of-the-art testing facilities to analyze the chemical emissions of construction materials, furniture, bedding, floor coverings and other consumer goods, certifying products to more than a dozen nationally and internationally recognized indoor air quality standards.
