MGM Resorts International Celebrates Black History Month
Four community powerhouses gathered on-stage in Las Vegas this week to celebrate Black History Month with hundreds MGM Resorts employees.
The event, which was hosted by the African American Employee Network Group, kicked-off with a special dance and spoken word performance by the West Las Vegas Arts Center Performance Ensemble. Afterwards, Phyllis A. James, Executive Vice President and Chief Diversity & Corporate Responsibility Officer for MGM Resorts International, moderated a panel discussion with Tony Gladney, Vice President of National Diversity Relations for MGM Resorts International, Claytee D. White, Director of the Oral History Research Center at UNLV Libraries and Harvey Munford, Nevada State Assemblyman. The four discussed the societal importance of celebrating Black History Month.
