MEDIA ALERT: Samsung Participates in a Nationwide Effort to Support LinkedIn’s “Bring In Your Parents Day,” to Help Bridge the Generational Gap in the Workplace.
Samsung employees bring their parents to work
November 6, 2015 /3BL Media/ - According to LinkedIn, one in three parents have no idea what their child does for a living, and so in 2013, the company launched “Bring In Your Parents Day,” which aims to help parents fully understand their child’s professional life. Since the start of the program, more than 55,000 parents have visited their children’s office and learned more about their jobs and careers.
On November 5, Samsung opened its doors to their employee’s parents, who got to experience what it is like to work at Samsung and celebrate their child’s accomplishments.
WHO: Samsung employees and their parents and grandparents enjoyed:
- A greeting from Samsung’s Chief Executive Officer Gregory Lee
- An overview of the company and the day from Samsung’s Shawn Williams, senior vice president of the People Team.
- A presentation on the history of the company and how they can get more involved
- A tour of Samsung’s products and executive briefing center
- A visit to their child or grandchild’s desk and the opportunity to meet their team and co-workers
