How is it possible to replenish the water table with 10 times the amount of water you use in year? Our associates in Aurangabad, India, figured it out.
It’s called rainwater harvesting. Basically, a structure is built to collect rainwater and then transport the water quickly underground, fast enough to avoid evaporation or runoff. Our team calls it a “super express highway” from the sky to the water table.
On average, the plant uses approximately 1.6 million liters of water annually. The five rainwater collection systems installed there are expected to recharge 16 million liters back into ground.
