Ingersoll Rand Locations Worldwide Participated in Earth Day Activities Demonstrating How They Put Sustainability in Action
Ingersoll Rand employees joined more than one billion people around the globe to celebrate Earth Day on April 22, the largest civil observance in the world. This year, our facilities worldwide hosted local activities and encouraged all employees to put sustainability in action.
Locations around the globe offered a wide range of Earth Day events to demonstrate their commitment to advancing the company’s sustainability objectives through personal actions at work, at home and in the community. These activities encompassed sustainability awareness, education and operational improvement.
“Sustainability is central to Ingersoll Rand in everything we do, from our products and services to advancing the quality of life in local communities around the world,” said W. Scott Tew, executive director, Center for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability at Ingersoll Rand. “Although the work we do takes place every day, Earth Day provides a day for our employees across the globe to work together on community projects that enhance the environment and quality of life.”
Our employees around the world have long been engaged in community projects that enhance the environment and quality of life. The Ingersoll Rand Green Team network, which currently consists of nearly 100 teams across the globe, collaborate internally and work in partnership with community groups to advance our sustainability objectives.
