HP Joins US Department of Energy’s Workplace Charging Challenge
As a Workplace Charging Challenge partner, HP is committed to providing workplace charging for our employees.
While employee commuting accounts for close to 30 percent of HP Operations’ carbon footprint, we recognize that a shift to EV commuting can lower our Scope 3 carbon emissions and help us achieve our carbon reduction goals. It is an important program for employee attraction and retention plus it allows us to showcase our commitment to sustainability.
In 2014 we provided employees with more than 70 Level 2 charging outlets. Several sites also offer Level 1 charging and one site provides DC fast charging. US sites with Level 2 chargers include Boise, Corvallis, Fort Collins, Fremont, Houston, Palo Alto, Plano, Roseville and Sunnyvale. Plans are in place to add many more sites in 2015, bringing our total Level 2 outlet count to over 100!
