Secretary of State John Kerry and senior Obama Administration officials hosted General Motors and a dozen other companies to launch the American Business Act on Climate Pledge at the White House. The pledge represents how companies remain committed to addressing the global challenge of climate change head on.

Endangered Ducks in China Find Refuge in Chevrolet Volt Battery Covers
GM repurposed scrap Chevrolet Volt battery covers into nesting boxes to provide refuge for endangered scaly-sided mergansers in China. GM partnered with World Wildlife Fund, Wetlands International and the U.S. Business Council for Sustainable Development to install 10 boxes inside the Changbai Mountain National Nature Reserve in Jilin Province, China.

GM Volunteers Set Record for Life Remodeled Project
A record 3,700 volunteers from General Motors will help deep clean a high school, board up vacant residences, whack weeds and mow lawns next week as part of the non-profit Life Remodeled effort to make over the 4.5 square-mile Osborn neighborhood, among the most blighted in Metro Detroit.
Students Get Early Start on Remodeling Osborn High
Ten GM Student Corps interns who attend Osborn High School are spending their summer cleaning up and remodeling the school, part of an overall makeover in the east side community expected to attract 12,000 volunteers early next month.
