#DardenDigest: Darden Celebrates Pride Month
More than 12 years ago, I began my career with Darden working at the Olive Garden as a server in West Melbourne, Florida. Today, I am an analyst in the Health & Wellness group, responsible for performing calculated nutrition analysis and producing allergen information for dishes we serve to our guests each and every day. In addition, I serve as Co-Chair of the Development Committee in the Pride Alliance Employee Resource Group, a group of LGBT employees and allies who help make Darden a great and inclusive place to work. I have always been a huge activist in the LGBT community, volunteering for the Human Rights Campaign and even serving on the Board of Directors for the Orlando Youth Alliance (OYA). I am proud to be part of the Pride Alliance and to help Darden reach a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index for the second year in a row. I have helped make Darden become a workplace where I, and others, can be our authentic selves.
