The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporate Citizenship Center last night recognized eight companies for their accomplishments in corporate citizenship during the 16th annual Corporate Citizenship Awards. The awards program honors businesses for their significant positive impacts in communities around the world.
The award is based on a poll of more than 4,500 of the magazine’s readers who were asked to rate products they trust across 40 different categories taking into account the areas of quality, value, and reliability. Carnival received more votes than any other cruise line. The awards are featured in the October issue of Reader’s Digest.
The Taproot Foundation is pleased to announce it has received a $35,000 grant from the Searle Funds at The Chicago Community Trust to fund general operations. Support from the Chicago Community Trust will allow Taproot to expand their work in the local market, ensuring that Chicago’s nonprofit sector has full access to pro bono resources necessary to build strong organizational infrastructure.
The United States Business Leadership Network (USBLN) has paved the way to help businesses build their disability inclusion efforts in the workplace, supply chain, and marketplace. Over the years, we have worked with them to improve and highlight our own efforts. Last week, we were happy to join them for their Annual National Conference in Austin. This year’s conference was especially memorable for us as we were honored to receive USBLN’s Marketplace Innovator of the Year Award for our work on Real-Time Text (RTT).
