Republic Services Volunteers at Mary’s Place in Seattle
Republic Services of Seattle, WA took time to volunteer their time at Mary’s Place, a resource/housing center for homeless woman and children in the Seattle, WA area. Mary’s Place was in need of remodeling of the rooms of a building, a former Travel Lodge, that was donated to them. The center houses 200 family members at any given time.

Republic Services proudly hosted a tour at the Roosevelt Regional Landfill located in the state of Washington for the Solid Waste Advisory Committee and key Thurston County elected officials. The highly engaged group of community leaders learned more about how Republic accepts and responsibly processes municipal solid waste on a daily basis.

Monroe Veterans Memorial Team Receives Honors
Monroe’s American Legion Arthur Kincaid Post No. 58, the Monroe Historical Society, Park Place Middle School and Boy Scout Troop 53 have been identified as recipients of the 2016 Community Stewardship Award, an annual honor presented by the Snohomish County Council and Republic Services.

Marlborough – Mayor Arthur Vigeant July 27 accepted a generous Marlborough Labor Day Parade sponsorship presented by Republic Services’ Municipal Services Manager Terry Grady. This year’s parade will be held Monday, Sept. 5, at 12 p.m.

Republic Hosts Family at the Southern Nevada Recycle Center for a Tour and Special Visit in the New Learning Center
Stone DeVine is an eight-year old who was diagnosed with High-Functioning Autism and ADHD. He is slowly overcoming his disability by engaging in several occupational and behavioral therapies on almost a daily basis. Stone has become obsessed with recycling and has developed a deep appreciation for the men and women who drive and operate both trash and recycling trucks.

Two Strangers Save Man's Life in Antelope, Reunite Exactly One Month Later
Two Good Samaritans reunited with the man they saved last month. Last month, Kylie Whitaker, a nurse, was driving to work, when she saw a man slowly drive his pick-up truck into the center median on Antelope Road.
