TeamCITGO volunteers at the CITGO Lemont Refinery helped their community by holding a supply drive benefiting three local domestic violence shelters and the at-risk women and children they serve. Based on specific requests from the organizations, CITGO employees and contractors at the refinery, donated personal care products, clothing and household items for the Guardian Angel Community Services, Lamb’s Fold Women’s Center and Crisis Center for South Suburbia.

CITGO Celebrates 30th Anniversary of National Partnership with MDA

Half of Employees Won't Work for Companies That Don't Have Strong Corporate Responsibility Commitments, According to New Cone Research

Two-thirds of American employees feel their work and personal life are becoming increasingly blended and nearly all (93%) want to work for a company that cares about them as an individual, according to the 2016 Cone Communications Employee Engagement Study. The study reveals an increased expectation for companies to provide not only basic benefits but also ones that allow employees to bring their passions for social and environmental issues to the workplace.

National Geographic Brings Samburu Warrior to California Elementary School to Talk Wildlife Conservation in Africa

Jeneria and Yesalai, two warriors from Kenya's Samburu tribe, visited more than 800 students at Alta Vista Elementary School in Redondo Beach, California, on May 19 as part of the National Geographic Big Cats Initiative Sister School Program (BCISSP). The program pairs American schools with African schools to help educators teach their students about the worldwide decline of lion, tiger, cheetah, and leopard populations, a trend that Jeneria and Yesalai are working with National Geographic to reverse. Alta Vista Elementary has participated in BCISSP for three consecutive years, and the students raised more than $4,500 for their African sister school, Remot Primary, this year alone.
