Sustainability is rife with innovation, so help us single out those advances that nobody has told us about. I am especially interested in innovations that help us reclaim more materials and in nontoxic materials that can replace toxic compounds in electronics manufacturing, like the electronics from milk created by heroine of innovation Anke Domaske.

Finalists Named for Boston’s 2015 Cox Conserves Heroes Program, Public Asked to Vote

FOX25 and The Trust for Public Land are recognizing volunteers who are creating, preserving or enhancing shared outdoor spaces. Martha McDonough, Rocky Morrison and Daniel Schenk have been selected as finalists for Boston’s inaugural Cox Conserves Heroes program, and the public is being asked to vote now through September 24 at myfoxboston.com.

Heavy-Duty Fleet Technology Expo Awards Announced

Many fleets were honored but only six took the top honors of the HDT Efficiency and Sustainability awards at the 2015 Fleet Technology Expo at an Aug. 26 ceremony.

Scott Ruder from Con-way Freight, Kirk Welch from Toyota, and Tim Harris from Celadon Trucking Services were given awards for HDT Efficiency. Steve Saltzgiver from Republic Services, Stephen Silverman from Raven Transport, and Scott Perry from Ryder System received the awards for HDT Sustainability.
