Women Building Futures Partners with Transcanada to Attract More Women into the Construction Trades

Edmonton AB, February 27, 2016 /3BL Media/ -- Women Building Futures (WBF), Alberta’s premier trades training organization for women, is pleased to welcome TransCanada as a new partner in the WBF Opportunities for Women in Construction Awareness Campaign (OFWIC). WBF has been running the OFWIC campaign since 2007, the only sustained awareness program of its kind in Western Canada.

The 2016 OFWIC campaign will involve an expansion of WBF’s marketing reach through advertising, social media activities and the delivery of face - to — face information sessions throughout Alberta, and online information sessions across Canada. WBF also works with industry to connect to a local pool of workers who diversify the workforce and are ready, willing and able to do the work.
