Oct 23, 2013 2:55 PM ET

Pfungwa Serima, CEO of SAP Africa, explains, among other things, the impact of the company’s Skills for Africa program at the US-Africa Business Summit. Serima believes that international institutions are turning to Africa to invest as the continent offers unrivaled business opportunities. He explains that one of SAP’s aims is to educate young people with a specific view to making them employable when they finish their education, and that it is speaking to governments as well as its customers and partners to achieve this aim. Skills for Africa is a program originally launched in Kenya, which identified university students with potential and gave them the opportunity to learn not only SAP skills but also life skills to make them more employable.
