Urban Forest Feature Offers Interactive Opportunity for Children at the 2013 Green Living Show
April 8, 2013 /3BL Media/ - The 2013 Green Living Show will include the Urban Forest Feature - an educational and interactive zone that encourages visitors to discover a stunning display of “tree-vitalization”. The Urban Forest Feature also includes the TD Outdoor Classroom, which provides hands-on learning for all ages, and will give students the opportunity to bring learning to life by integrating nature in the classroom.
The TD Outdoor Classroom is a unique learning environment that will demonstrate how students can connect with nature right in their own school yard. Led by the Ontario Forestry Association (OFA) and Trees Ontario (TO), this space will provide teachers with “nature” based curriculum called “Focus on Forests” and how outdoor classrooms can be implemented at any school.
TD Friends of the Environment Foundation (TD FEF), in partnership with Focus on Forests, is pleased to be launching the newest Focus On Forests guide at the Green Living Show. The guide will be available onsite and also to download at http://www.focusonforests.ca/tdoutdoor
