UN Global Compact Launches Local Network in Morocco
On 5 March, the UN Global Compact officially launched its Global Compact Network Morocco in Casablanca, Morocco. On this occasion, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the UN Global Compact, the General Confederation of Moroccan Companies (CGEM) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Morocco.
At a financial innovation symposium in Newport Beach, the UN Global Compact, in partnership with PIMCO and ENEL, convened a two-day symposium to explore the emerging "SDG Bonds" market and mobilize private finance and investment around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Global Compact Network Indonesia hosts Regional Workshop on Business and Human Rights
To promote the importance of business and human rights issues in Indonesia, Global Compact Network Indonesia held a Regional Workshop on Business and Human Rights from 5 to 6 February. This forum served as a multi-stakeholder dialogue platform for networking, knowledge sharing and exchanging experience on business and human rights practices and the implementation of the Guiding Principles.
