New Holland Supports Women in Agribusiness Across Brazil
New Holland Agriculture is firmly committed to supporting and promoting women’s role in agribusiness. The brand is supporting the fifth edition of the Brazilian National Congress of Women in Agribusiness (CNMA) - Brazilian Woman: The Global Voice, which took place between 26 and 29 October.
This year, for the first time CNMA, which is considered to be the largest event specifically for women involved in agribusiness in South America, will be held on line, but this did not impact on New Holland’s, a global agricultural brand of CNH Industrial, commitment. “This year we have had been faced with many hard choices, but supporting the Congress and what it represents, including promoting and recognizing women in agribusiness, was non-negotiable,” said Rafael Miotto, Vice President, New Holland Agriculture, South America.
New Holland will also showcase its expertise in new technologies at the event, with specific focus on encouraging a more active participation of women in agriculture.
“New Holland wants to encourage women's participation in the entire agricultural value chain, and not just in the countryside. And we have seen that this participation rate is increasing,” said Gustavo Taniguchi, Commercial Marketing Director, New Holland Agriculture, South America. “We want to encourage and recognize this diversity in agribusiness as an engine of innovation. Our aim is to be close to everyone, especially women and young people who are starting out in agribusiness.”
“The role of female farmers is increasingly relevant. They are involved in all stages of the production chain, from farming through to marketing, and in the management of many farms. New Holland values this work and recognizes these women as the competent leaders that they are. We want to demonstrate how our technology can help, for example, in the management of rural properties, both in terms of modern agricultural machinery, as well as in the production and collection of data to assist timely decision making,” concluded Rafael Miotto.
Banco CNH Industrial, the Company’s in house financial services division, also encourages female participation in agribusiness and is supporting the event. “We believe that the growing participation of women in rural activities is an irreversible trend.
