National #EntrepreneurWeek: Three Programs Cox Supports to Boost Atlanta's Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
Empowering Atlanta's entrepreneurs through mentorship
It’s National Entrepreneur Week. In 2016, DataFox named Atlanta as one of the best cities to launch a startup, positioning the city as an innovation scene to watch. Cox Enterprises – an avid supporter of the entrepreneurial spirit – is advancing Atlanta’s startup community by investing in accelerator programs.
Here are three programs that Cox supports to boost Atlanta’s entrepreneurial ecosystem:
Techstars Atlanta is an internationally recognized accelerator program that boosts entrepreneurs’ early stage business and product development efforts through focused education, mentorship and funding. Techstars Atlanta is presented in partnership with Cox and selects, recruits and accelerates innovative startups focused on driving positive change in an interconnected world.
Engage is an immersive startup accelerator program focused on helping entrepreneurs open doors, access markets and reach customers. Cox is one of its founding companies. Announced by Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, the program is open to entrepreneurs across the country, with up to 48 startups expected to participate in its first three years.
The Bridge is an Atlanta-based startup program focused on creating mentorship and connections between local entrepreneurs and Atlanta’s leading corporations. The program consists of tactical training such as storytelling and negotiation, as well as sessions where the startups are paired with potential customers inside each corporation to discuss what a pilot implementation might look like.
