Every year, Mars joins in the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings to talk science and innovation with Nobel laureates and leading young scientists from around the world. At the 2016 physics meeting, we hosted a panel discussion to talk about research in soft matter physics and what we can learn about sustainability, energy and life itself. Mars’ Harold Schmitz was joined by IBM Research’s Jeff Welser and Benjamin Santer of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to discuss how big data is changing the future of science and society.
