Leonardo Academy Approved by USGBC as a Top-Tier Education Provider
(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) Madison, WI - May 27, 2010 - Today Leonardo Academy announced that it has been approved as a top-tier education provider by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Leonardo Academy provides a wide range of training on sustainability and environmental topics, including training courses on LEED and green buildings. Leonardo Academy’s top-tier status in the USGBC training provider program (Tier III Education Provider status with portfolio review) provides Leonardo Academy accelerated review for new training courses that earn participants USGBC continuing education credits. These continuing education credits are important because the USGBC has recently added continuing education requirements to its credentialing program for professionals that work with the LEED rating system for green buildings. Many of Leonardo Academy’s training courses also provide AIA continuing education credits.
The first Leonardo Academy course to be approved under the USGBC Tier III program is “1-2-3 LEED-NC Certification: How to Be a Hero & Deliver Great Post Occupancy Performance.” This course provides step-by-step guidance on how the LEED-EB rating system can be used to achieve and maintain high ongoing performance for buildings first certified under the LEED-NC rating system.
This one-hour course will be delivered free as a live webinar on June 17 at 2:00 PM CDT and on July 15 at 1:00 PM CDT. The course provides both USGBC and AIA continuing education credit. Visit the Leonardo Academy web site to register to participate (www.leonardoacademy.org).
