(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Madison, WI - August 11, 2011 - Leonardo Academy will conduct a free, half-hour webinar on September 1, 2011 that will present the use of offsite vegetation to earn native vegetation points for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB) certification and to help maintain Leonardo Academy’s beautiful Valley Ridge Preserve. The webinar will start at 1:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time. Register now!
The details of the points available and the calculation of the offsite acres that must be supported to earn these points will be presented. A total of 3 points are available for LEED-EB v2 certification and a total of 2 points for LEED-EB Operations and Maintenance (O&M) certification. Leonardo Academy’s President, Michael Arny, said, “The LEED points for native vegetation are not to be missed. They are low-hanging fruit and provide visible environmental benefits.” An introduction to Leonardo Academy’s Valley Ridge Preserve will be given, as well as information about how you can earn LEED-EB points while supporting this preserve.
