Invitation to Apply for Saudi Arabia's First Sustainability Training for Small and Medium Enterprises
King Khalid Foundation is proud to partner with AccountAbility to facilitate the Sustainability Leading Practices (SLP) Training Program, which is the first of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The workshop will be conducted through three days of training sessions on October 23-25 2017. This will be the third training, following two previous workshops in Riyadh and Abha. The training will be provided in English and simultaneous Arabic translation will also be available.
Participating companies will receive training and engage in interactive exercises on key sustainability topics, such as “The Business Case for Sustainability” and “Measurement Tools for Sustainability Impact”. The training will be tailored to the Saudi Arabian business context and will focus on industry-specific topics. Each participant will receive actionable guidance on leading sustainability practices contained in a Sustainability Toolkit.
The SLP workshop aims to improve business performance in the Kingdom by building sustainability capacity at businesses with a tremendous opportunity to increase their contribution to the Saudi economy: small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The training objectives align closely with those of the Government of Saudi Arabia in the Saudi Vision 2030. Both aim to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the private sector, and focus on procedures to diversify Saudi business and boost new sectors.
Eligible companies are invited to indicate their interest in participating by submitting a short application before September 17, 2017. Detailed eligibility requirements are provided in the online application (available in both Arabic and English) at www.kkfslptraining.com.
