An Insightful Look at 2014 Conflict Minerals Efforts, Benefits of Tracing Your Supply Chain
E-Book: An Insightful Look at 2014 Conflict Minerals Efforts, Benefits of Traci…
Conflict minerals compliance for publicly traded companies has played a major role in 2014, marking the first year they had to report to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on the origin of tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold in their supply chain (3TG).
Companies responded to conflict minerals regulation with many different approaches, ranging from a third party IT platform, or by using a wait and see approach. Although publicly traded companies were required to file with the SEC and make disclosures about the source of 3TG in their supply chain, many companies attempted a wait and see approach in case the status of the regulation would change. However, this has not been the case, and companies who did report on the origin of conflict minerals in their supply chain, have been able to see firsthand the benefits of having a deeper understanding of the composition of their products and how to better manage their complex supply chains.
Source Intelligence is releasing the first e-Book of its kind on conflict minerals in 2014, “An Insightful Look at 2014 Conflict Minerals Efforts: Benefits to Tracing Your Supply Chain.” The E-Book is a compilation of our most influential white papers of 2014 that have provided companies with key insights for conflict minerals compliance. The E-Book includes white papers on Overcoming Supplier Resistance, Conflict Minerals Compliance Programs Implementation: An Analysis of 4 Prevailing Approaches, Moving Beyond Supplier Provided Information: A Guide To Smelter Verification, and the 2015 Guide to a Successful Conflict Minerals Program. Companies will be able to learn how to overcome issues from last years reporting, and develop ideas to be on the right track this next reporting year. If interested, the e-book will be released on 3BL tomorrow, December 8th, for viewers to read.
