With local support from Vancity, Mountain Equipment Co-op, and BCIT, The Co-operators and The Natural Step Canada are partnering to offer the IMPACT! Sustainability Champions Training in Vancouver! This 4-month program for youth is anchored by a two-day in-person workshop and focuses on two areas: developing your sustainability project and realizing your leadership potential.
The complete program includes:
- An award-winning Sustainability 101 eLearning course.
- Two days of in-person sustainability and leadership training with passionate sustainability champions.
- Feedback on your project from peers and mentors during the training.
- Connection with fellow participants and IMPACT! alumni on the IMPACT! community web site.
- Mentoring from a sustainability professional for four months after the training.
- Reunion event four months after the training to discuss progress and lessons learned.
- Eligibility to apply for IMPACT! Funding once a year (project seed money).
