Our award-winning Healthy Environments soft and hard surface collection was created with that mission in mind – to design flooring solutions that promote productivity, allowing patients and care providers to thrive.

The Healthy Environments carpet and hard surface collection was inspired by the alluring, soothing colors and textures of species native to the desert Southwest. In addition to natural beauty, these plants possess an innate hardiness that speaks to perseverance through difficult challenges and environments.
It’s this balance of beautifully soothing aesthetics with high performance practicality for healthcare interiors that has the Healthy Environments collection in the spotlight, winning the Best of NeoCon Innovation Award for healthcare flooring and the Silver Nightingale Award for carpet tile.
The collection’s three coordinating carpet plank patterns draw inspiration from southwestern plants and biophilic design. Baccharis reflects the organic fluidity of desert broom plants. Chitalpa features an organic grid visual in homage to the utilitarian desert willow branches. And Xeric’s randomly flowing appearance was influenced by the tops of mesquite trees and branches below.
The collection also includes four heterogeneous sheet patterns. Sisalana features a non-directional, monolithic textile pattern resembling sisal. Juniperus is a workhorse pattern with a wood visual reminiscent of the highly-valued juniper tree. Geomorphic mimics the natural desert floor with a beautiful terrazzo appearance. And Klei Firma provides a clean and sophisticated Adobe brick aesthetic.
We also built high performance features into the collection to help healthcare facilities increase safety and reduce risks, exceeding industry regulations.
The products were designed for easy maintenance and increased sustainability as well. The sheet patterns, for example, include a 20 mil commercial wear layer and an M-ForceTM 1 Enhanced Urethane finish for exceptional durability and cleanability.
The carpet planks utilize our premium Duracolor Tricor nylon fiber with a triangular shape for enhanced durability in high traffic environments. Its unique shape also reflects light differently, helping to hide dirt and soil more effectively between cleanings. The innovative carpet yarn integrates our Duracolor fiber system as well, for stunning color with exceptional cleanability and stain resistance. The planks come standard on Red List-free EcoFlex NXT carpet tile backing.
