Growing Up Green
Fresh air, natural light, clean water. For years, we’ve all known – instinctively, at least – that these things make children happier and healthier. Recent scientific studies have reinforced that premise with empirical evidence, showing that children who spend most of their days in school perform better in a clean, chemical-free environment that is free of winter drafts and excessive summer heat. “Green” schools also save a significant amount of money through the use of energy-efficient heating, cooling and lighting systems.
