Tomorrow’s Engineers Test the Waters with GM
Lisa Parks may not be a senior environmental engineer at General Motors today if not for an afternoon in high school she spent analyzing water quality in the Grand River near her hometown of Grand Ledge, Mich. The stream monitoring was part of GM GREEN (Global Rivers Environmental Education Network), designed to sharpen problem-solving skills, improve knowledge of science and the environment, and encourage community involvement.

Buick Achievers Names First Four Scholarship Recipients
The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program announced the first four of its 100 National award winners for 2012, including the first current undergraduate recipient of a Buick Achievers Award under a new program expansion. These four students will each receive a scholarship of up to $25,000 that is renewable for up to four years.
