EcoMedia Helps Putnam Green Affordable Housing Project Save Money & Electricity with EcoAd Energy Efficiency Funding
Financial support from EcoAd advertiser IBEW Local 103 makes big difference in Cambridge
CBS EcoMedia worked with our nonprofit partners, Enterprise Community Partners and Homeowners Rehab of Cambridge Massachusetts to make energy efficiency funding possible for the Putnam Green affordable housing project. The financial support came from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 103, through their EcoAd advertising. In this EcoMedia project vignette video you'll learn how the EcoAd program works, hear from the key project participants and get an overview of the new Putnam Green development. The EcoAd funding not only is reducing emissions, it's also cutting the energy bills at Putnam Green freeing up money to spend on the critical programs the green housing development offers its residents. The energy efficiency work also created jobs and is helping to foster diversity in the community too.
This project is representative of of EcoMedia projects just like it all across the USA and is a great example of the public private partnership model EcoMedia is using to transform advertising into an engine for viable social change.
About CBS EcoMedia Inc.
At EcoMedia, we're propelled by the desire to create positive social change; that's been our mission since we founded the company in 2002. In 2008, after successfully partnering with CBS on a wide range of environmental projects, EcoMedia became the newest addition to the CBS Corporation portfolio, exponentially scaling our reach across television, radio, interactive, publishing and outdoor media. Through our patent-pending EcoAd, WellnessAd and EducationAd programs, an innovative twist on traditional advertising, advertisers are able to support much-needed local projects which in turn creates jobs, saves taxpayer money and improves the quality of life in communities nationwide. In the process, we’re fundamentally altering the advertising landscape, elevating the ordinary, traditional commercial – and media, in general – into a catalyst for tangible, quantifiable social change.
