Kansas City, MO, March 11, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Jim Cook, president of the child-focused humanitarian organization Children International, presented Pampa Sinha with the Children International Inspire Award™ in Kolkata, India. The award honors Ms. Sinha for her 15 years of volunteer service to both Children International and her community in India.

The unique Inspire Award™ celebrates outstanding contributions of volunteers who live in and are part of the impoverished communities Children International serves. Over 7,500 dedicated volunteers like Ms. Sinha help make Children International’s work possible, using their time and energy to enhance the lives of children in their communities.

Ms. Sinha began volunteering with Children International while her daughter was in the sponsorship program. She has been involved in several volunteer activities including cooking for the nutrition feeding program, assisting with gift distributions, informing youth of important events and working with other mothers in the community to make sure they are making the most of the opportunities available through the Children International program. Although her daughter has graduated from the sponsorship program, Ms. Sinha vows to continue volunteering.

Ms. Sinha’s inspiration to volunteer comes from her father, a man who, she says, helped countless people without expecting anything in return. He was well-respected in the community because of his efforts, and he felt great joy from helping others. Ms. Sinha knew she wanted the same thing for her life.

Mr. Cook felt privileged to be able to present Ms. Sinha with the Inspire Award™. “Pampa Sinha’s volunteer efforts have contributed greatly to Children International’s work in Kolkata, India. We are pleased to be able to present her with the Inspire Award as a token of our gratitude for her volunteer service.” He also adds, “Volunteers like Pampa are crucial to our organization’s success, and we are thankful for all that they do. They truly are an inspiration to so many people.”
