Cascades Launches a Line of Sustainable Steak Papers
St-Bruno, April 24, 2014 /3BL Media/ – Cascades has launched a full line of FDA compliant Steak Papers under the Cascades Enviro Kraft line to enhance the appearance of beef, pork, poultry, and seafood primarily inside of refrigerated display cases at Supermarkets, Butcher Shops, and Delicatessens. Made at the World Class East Angus mill near Montreal, QC, this paper is the only FSC ® certified 100% recycled Steak Paper available on the market.
Cascades Enviro Kraft Steak Paper line is specifically made for direct food contact and is available in four vibrant and useful colors. This paper has been specifically treated to provide a barrier so that excess juices do not permeate through the sheet which allows for maximum display life. Cascades Enviro Kraft Steak Paper prevents meat from blackening and can also be used to maintain the integrity of meat, poultry and seafood in a processing environment.
As per Yves Bienvenue, Sales Manager for Cascades East Angus, “Cascades Enviro Kraft Steak Paper is a unique product that offers superior performance, competitive pricing, and very high environmental standards”.

Using 2,000 lb. of this paper saves the equivalent of 17 trees, 8,921 gallons of water, 1,434 lbs of waste, and 3,973 lbs of air emissions compared to other grades of Virgin Steak Paper. Cascades Enviro Kraft Steak Paper is well adapted to the needs of the marketplace and is a viable long-term sustainable solution.
