Burnetti, P.A. Supports Pediatric Families at Ronald McDonald House
Helps Underwrite 155 Family Night-Stays in Tampa Bay
TAMPA BAY, Fla. – Dec. 15, 2015 /3BL Media/ – In partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay, personal injury law firm Burnetti, P.A. is supporting the Light a Light & Share a Night Program to help families with children receiving medical treatment in Bay area hospitals. Burnetti, P.A.’s support is made possible by participation in CBS EcoMedia’s WellnessAd program.
Burnetti, P.A.’s funding will cover the cost of 155 night-stays for pediatric families staying at the four Bay-area Ronald McDonald Houses this year. This will accommodate up to 40 parents and 40 siblings of hospitalized children receiving services at Ronald McDonald Houses during their hospitalization.
Providing a home away from home for families with children receiving medical treatment in Bay area hospitals for the past 35 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay provides nearly 2,000 families per year with a safe and comfortable place to stay within walking distance to their hospitalized child, and have comforted and cared for 50,000 families since opening their doors in 1980. Combined, the four Ronald McDonald Houses in Tampa Bay offer 80 bedrooms nightly to families caring for their sick or injured child.
As a major supporter of the Light a Light & Share a Night Program across the Bay area, Burnetti, P.A. will be honored and presented with a plaque at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay’s Holiday Open House at the Tampa Ronald McDonald House this evening. Attendees will include Nate Hendricks from Burnetti, P.A.; Janice Davis, Executive Director and CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay; and local CBS television station WTOG.
“This donation makes a big difference in supporting our pediatric families,” said Davis. “The accommodations and support we provide help families cope with one of the most stressful situations imaginable. It is only with the help of community partners like Burnetti, P.A. that we can continue to provide the quality level of comfort and care that these families deserve.”
“We are honored to work with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay, and to be able to assist with providing care and comfort to families during a difficult time,” said Hendricks.
Established by founding partner Doug Burnetti in 1994, Burnetti, P.A. specializes in auto accidents, workers’ compensation, defective products, wrongful death, medical malpractice and other serious injuries. With a strong belief in community involvement, Burnetti, P.A. works to dedicate services to community organizations with the mission of strengthening community needs. In 2004, the Burnetti Children’s Foundation was created to help support youth-focused programs and to support charitable organizations that in turn dedicate resources to address the needs of children.
