Boeing’s Partnership with EdWeek Shows the Value of Basic Classroom Materials in STEM Education
Making STEM education accessible using basic classroom materials
As part of Boeing’s ongoing 100 Days of Learning, the company and its educational partners took part of in an EdWeek webinar on September 28 at 2pm EST. This webinar discussed ways of using everyday, accessible classroom materials for STEM lessons.
The guest speakers included education expert, Dr. Jennifer Stotts, Sandra Geisbush, an educator at NEISD STEM Academy, and Tony Castilleja, Jr., a Boeing systems engineer. Each of the guest speakers discussed their involvement in the 100 Days of Learning materials, including the creation of the materials and real-life applications in the classroom. The webinar was moderated by Holly Yettick, Director of EdWeek’s Research Center.
The webinar received an overwhelming number of registrants and live broadcast attendees on EdWeek’s platform. Registrants who were unable to attend the live event were sent an on-demand recording of the webinar, in addition to a resource list, to allow them to experience the webinar on their own schedule.
