Banorte Honors Women on International Women’s Day

In 2004, recognizing the needs for Mexican women to find balance between their family lives and their professional development, Banorte created “Mujer Banorte,” the first portfolio of financial solutions designed specifically for women in the Mexican market. “Mujer Banorte,” which aims to serve and support Mexican women as they continue to follow their inspirations and achieve their successes, is consisted of an integral package of financial products and a series of services and benefits developed exclusively for Mexican women.
"Mujer Banorte" was originally developed as a product but its concept has permeated through the company as a strong social commitment toward its internal and external communities. Internally, Banorte continues to focus on its employees, of which more than half are women, to help them realize their potential through training and leadership development programs. Currently, three of the women with the most prestigious management careers in the business sector in Mexico are Banorte employees.
Externally, through its Foundation, Banorte has impacted the lives of more than 36,000 women of all ages and from communities of all different states in Mexico. Since its inception, Banorte Foundation has incorporated gender equity as a primary cause in order to empower women and advance their development.
