Arrow Electronics’ Carol Baroudi Honored for Top Blog
CENTENNIAL, Colo., March 27, 2017 /3BL Media/ - Arrow Electronics’ sustainability and compliance expert Carol Baroudi was named a finalist in the Blog category at the 2017 PR News CSR Awards last week in Washington, D.C.
Carol publishes timely and thought-provoking content on a dedicated blog for Arrow’s value recovery business. She focuses on electronics in the circular economy, with an emphasis on IT asset disposition, e-waste and sustainability.
“Electronics are literally everywhere, but few people understand the environmental risks associated with them,” Carol said. “This blog aims to grow awareness by putting topics like e-waste into context for ordinary business people. I’m honored by this recognition and look forward to continue providing our readers with relevant content that enables them to think Five Years Out.”
Carol published more than 40 articles in 2016, her blog’s third year, and her posts received more than 500,000 views. Her opinions garnered positive responses from industry experts, members of the news media, as well as prospective and current Arrow employees.
Carol’s passion for her topic began in 2008 when she led the research and writing for Green IT For Dummies (Wiley 2009). She leads the Boston Area Sustainability Group, which is comprised of some 1,400 sustainability professionals who are part of her extensive network of subject-matter experts. Carol also speaks regularly at conferences and in university settings where she gathers fresh content to include in her blog.
