With summer finally arriving, your electricity bill may be rising. Running air conditioners to keep cool can be costly. You can offset some of those costs by being energy efficient and conserving energy. Below are a few tips on conserving electricity:
- Replace filters on your air conditioner. Clean filters can lower the air conditioner’s energy consumption 5-15%.
- Swapping five incandescent bulbs with ENERGY STAR® compact fluorescents can save you about $60 a year.
- Set your water heater to between 120 and 130 degrees and wash laundry in cold water
