April 23, 2015 /3BL Media/ - MEDIA ALERT/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
WHAT: Camp Twin Lakes and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta will celebrate the recent installation of a new, fully-accessible walking trail with a ribbon-cutting ceremony during the camp’s Open House, where future campers and their parents come to Camp Twin Lakes’ Camp Will-A-Way and learn about what to expect for this summer’s upcoming camp sessions.
The new 0.6-mile trail at CTL-Will-A-Way is operated by Camp Twin Lakes and connects the main camp with equestrian and farming areas. Camp Twin Lakes provides life-changing camp experiences to children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and other health challenges. The trail will feature six fun, colorful Strong4Life trail signs. Signs include messages that encourage kids to play and promote the benefits of eating veggies and fruits, and will serve as teaching stations along the trail. The Strong4Life messages stem from research Children’s conducted about the importance of relaying a benefit for healthy habits.
This project is part of UnitedHealthcare’s “Do Good. Live Well.” employee-volunteer initiative, with a mission to inspire service and encourage volunteerism. UnitedHealthcare’s support of CTL-Will-A-Way was made possible through CBS EcoMedia’s WellnessAd program.
